Funding Your Account Safely
Know which deposit route to use, which balance it lands in, and how to avoid the mistakes that lose funds.
ChipaX trades on Hyperliquid, so your trading balance lives in a Hyperliquid account linked to your ChipaX login. There are two ways to fund it, and each one lands in a specific place.
USDC on Arbitrum — for perps
- Open Deposit and copy your personal Arbitrum deposit address.
- Send USDC on the Arbitrum One network — not Ethereum mainnet, not another chain.
- ChipaX bridges it to your Hyperliquid account automatically, usually within 5–15 minutes.
- The minimum is 25 USDC; smaller amounts cannot be bridged.
SOL and supported SPL tokens — for spot
Your Solana deposit address comes from the Unit bridge. SOL and the listed tokens sent there arrive in your spot balance as Unit tokens (SOL becomes USOL, BONK becomes UBONK) after 32 Solana confirmations, ready to trade on the spot desk.
Perp and spot balances
Your Hyperliquid account has a perp balance (margin for perpetuals) and a spot balance (tokens and USDC for spot trading). If USDC lands in spot, transfer it to perp from the deposit panel before opening perp positions.
Checklist before every deposit
- Right asset, right network — match both exactly.
- Above the minimum.
- Copy-paste the address; never type it. Check the first and last characters after pasting.
- For a large amount, send a small test first.
Key takeaways
- USDC on Arbitrum funds perps (minimum 25 USDC); SOL and listed SPL tokens fund spot via Unit.
- Wrong network or unsupported token = funds at risk. Match both exactly.
- Move USDC from spot to perp before trading perps.
